2. In his Keynote Address, the Commandant, Major General CO Onwuamaegbu, represented by Navy Cdre SO Ojerinde (Director of Coordination) while welcoming the delegates, expressed delight at the choice of the theme of the Lecturer which was consistent with his transformation agenda for NDA. He acknowledged the key role played by the Registry as the critical hub that drives the engine room of university administration. This he said, explained his approval for the institution of the NDA registry Lecture Series to build capacities of the Registry staff to enable them deliver on their mandate. As service providers and facilitators of the university processes, he enjoined the staff to inculcate the right attitude to work and be disciplined in order to achieve set objectives. He added that they must be engaged in continuous training and re-training in order to acquire new skills if they were to remain relevant in the scheme of things. This was against the backdrop that the manual skills acquired yesterday no longer fits into the digitalized office environment of today.
