PROFILE OF MRS IYABO EKA

1.    Mrs Iyabo Eka was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Tunde Teru on 27 March 1960 and hails from Ogbomosho North Local Government Area of Oyo State. She attended St Anne’s Primary Boarding School, Kakuri, Kaduna South for her primary school education and Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo for her secondary education. She also attended the Advanced Teachers College, now Federal College of Education, under Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She also obtained a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies (MIASS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy Post Graduate School (NDAPGS), Kaduna. Mrs Eka is a member of Senior Course 31 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.

2.    Mrs Eka joined the services of Nigerian Defence Academy as an Admin Assistant in 1993 and rose through the ranks to her current position as Deputy Registrar in 2014. Her present responsibilities as Deputy Registrar in charge of Exams and Records include coordination of undergraduate examinations, issuance of cadet’s semester results, transcripts and degree certificates including honorary degrees, among others.

3.    Mrs Eka speaks English, Yoruba and Hausa languages fluently and she is married to Dr Tony Eka and they have 2 children.
