The Directorate of Information and Communications Technology was established as a computer centre in March 2002 and was upgraded to directorate status in September 2008. The directorate has had 8 directors before Gp Capt LM Danzangi took over in November 2015 as the 9th director.
The Directorate of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is responsible for the efficient administration and implementation of the NDA ICT policies and programmes. The Directorate is headed by a Director. The office of the Director is headed by a serving military officer with the established rank of air commodore.
