GIWA Old Boys Association Visits The Commandant

In solidarity with one of their own who has risen to the high echelons of the nationâ€™s military, a delegation from Giwa Old Boys Association paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General MT Ibrahim, who is also a member of the association.

Stating the purpose of the visit, the Leader and the President of the association, Mr Kabiru Mohammed, said they came to encourage the Commandant to be steadfast, loyal and committed while discharging the duties of his office. They urged him to strive to be the best in his service to humanity and promised to stand solidly behind him in order to achieve the vision and mission of the NDA.

The Commandant who expressed great delight and excitement about the visit, responded by appreciating the respect the members accorded him by the visit. He said the solid foundation laid for them in the school is what had generated the spirit of unity, tolerance and harmony which have become their guiding principles in life, which in turn has changed their lives for the better. The Commandant further acknowledged the system that paved the way for them to get to where they are presently and promised to carry NDA to higher heights. He also pledged his willingness to propagate the vision of the association by rendering assistance to the needy and he tasked the association to go places by impacting and imparting positively on each other and in the lives of the younger generation.
