… As NDA Decorates Newly Promoted Naval Officers
“Hardwork†they say pays. So it was for Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) GS Oladesu, Lt Cdr JN Sule and Lieutenant Nigerian Navy (Lt NN) PC Naze as their efforts and contributions to the Nigerian Navy and the nation were rewarded with a promotion to the next rank.

In an emotion laden ceremony attended by colleagues, family and friends, the newly promoted officers were decorated by the Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General MT Ibrahim and assisted by their spouses and family members.
Addressing the promoted officers, the Commandant advised them to see their promotion as an additional responsibility. He commended them, noting that their promotion was an indication of the Navy’s recognition of the officers’ contributions to the system. He therefore urged them to continue to strive harder even in the midst of challenges. The Commandant further charged them to make themselves a beacon of exemplary leadership to junior officers, while also reminding them of the need to plan ahead for their retirement.
Speaking further, Major General MT Ibrahim enjoined their spouses and families members to stand solidly behind them and support them as they strive to attain the highest level in their chosen profession.

Delivering the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Lt Cdr JN Sule thanked the Nigerian Navy for finding them worthy of the honour. She also thanked the Commandant and the Principal Officers Ofiicers of the Academy for mentoring them, as well as their family and friends for their unflinching support.
