The Commandant NDA, Major General MT Ibrahim, has urged newly promoted military officers not to disappoint the Army, the nation or themselves by doing what they know is counterproductive to the military.
Represented by his Deputy, Air vice Marshal OS NTUKUGU, the Commandant stated this on the occasion of the decoration of newly promoted officers from the rank of Majors to Lieutenant Colonels at the Academy headquarters, recently.

Major General MT Ibrahim said as they now carry the rank of Battalion Commanders, mistakes hitherto condoned from then would no longer be condoned; as such they should double check their actions and instructions to their subordinates.
The two newly promoted officers are lieutenant colonel AO Bamidele of the Army wing and Lieutenant Colonel MA Aliyu, the Academy Quarter Master.

Responding on behalf his equally newly promoted colleague, lieutenant colonel MA Aliyu thanked the NDA Commandant, Major General MT Ibrahim, the chief of Army Staff and the Army Council for deeming them fit for their new ranks. He also thanked their families and friends for giving them the peace of mind to operate efficiently.
