AOCTC, AVM CE Okoye (R), making some remarks during his courtesy visit to Former Commandant NDA, Maj Gen MT Ibrahim (L)
While welcoming him to the Academy, Former Commandant NDA, Major General MT Ibrahim congratulated AVM Okoye on his new appointment as the Air Officer Commanding Training Command. He assured the AOCTC of the continued support of the Academy towards greater collaboration with the Air Training Command, in a bid to produce better officers for the country.
The Former Commandant NDA recalled with nostalgia the period he shared with AVM Okoye as his Deputy Commandant. He described the experience as a good one. “It is quite good seeing my former Deputy Commandant this way. If you wait on the Lord, He will surely grant your heart’s desiresâ€, the former Commandant enthused.
AVM Okoye, in response, thanked the Commandant for the warm reception and described it as a privilege to have served in NDA as Deputy Commandant.
On Cadets’ Training, the former Commandant revealed that the Academy would be graduating large numbers of Cadets this year. He urged the AOCTC not to relent in his effort towards bringing out the best out of the final year Air Force Cadets, stating that any attempt to loosen control over them would be counterproductive.
Major General MT Ibrahim thanked the Air Officer commanding Training Command for finding time to visit the Academy once again and wished him a fruitful tenure in office.
