The MOU which was signed on behalf of the NDA by the former NDA Commandant, Major General MT Ibrahim and Dr Perisuo Dema, on behalf of the Centre, at the Academy Headquarters, recently, among other things, seeks for both parties to conduct collaborative research and training to would- be scholars of the programme, with the NDA championing the cause of obtaining approval for the programme from the National Universities Commission.
At the signing ceremony, Perisuo Dema thanked the NDA authorities for obliging the Umaru Shinkafi Centre for Extrative Policy Research and agreeing to collaborate with the centre, noting that the MOU serves as a springboard to the centre in its quest to improve knowledge on energy acquisition, demand and distribution across the African continent.
In his remarks, the former NDA Commandant, Major General MT Ibrahim, stated that collaborations like this widen the scope and horizon of knowledge for the collaborating bodies as well as the benefitting students of such academic exercises, which is something the NDA stands for.

While thanking the Centre for deeming the NDA fit for its noble cause of imparting knowledge to the public, Major General MT Ibrahim reaffirmed the NDA’s commitment to play its part in the collaboration to the letter.
The MOU signing was witnessed by Directors of the Academy and Senior Officials of the Umaru Shinkafi Centre for Extractive Policy Research.
