The Former Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General MT Ibrahim has revealed that officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps are now to travel alongside cadets on all their camps and exercises outside the Academy premises.
The former Commandant, who described the officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps as Nigeria’s finest representation of paramilitary forces, stated this when the Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone 1, Kaduna, Assistant Corps Marshal Bulus Darwang, paid him a courtesy visit at the Academy headquarters, recently.

Assistant Corps Marshal Bulus Darwang, whose area of operation covers Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States, expressed delight at the reception offered him and his entourage by the NDA Former Commandant, noting further that he was at the Academy to further consolidate on the existing bilateral cooperation that exists between the two bodies – while also looking for ways to explore new areas of partnership.

The Former Commandant NDA, Major General MT Ibrahim, stated during the occasion that contrary to popular belief and perception, the NDA was not an enigma that favours some and persecutes others, but an institution where a cadet’s success or failure depends on his will, determination and discipline.
The Former NDA Commandant thanked the FRSC Zonal Commanding officer for his visit and promised to also look into areas that could deepen collaboration between the NDA and the FRSC.
