The Commandant Addresses NDA Officers

The Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy Major General A Oyebade in his continuous quest to acquaint himself with the staff of the Academy has addressed the officers of NDA. According to him, the essence of the address was to reiterate on their common objectives of contributing their quota to the training and development of the officer cadets and to hold it as a sacred duty.

He tasked the officers to exhibit high level of professionalism in the teaching of the Cadets. He said teaching by example, decorum eschewing and imparting of values will produce confident officers who will be ready to articulate and withstand pressures of operations.

He urged the officers to do away with religion and tribe in the discharge of their duties saying that these two are irrelevant to the Armed forces but to teach the cadets what "loyalty and valour" means to the constitutional authority of Nigeria.

Major General Oyebade promised to do all within his authority and available resources to provide an enabling environment to conduct and carry out their assignments. He also promised to run an all inclusive administration.
