Following the recent collaborative initiatives between the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and the National Defence College, Abuja in recent times, both institutions have further cemented the existing cordial relationship between them by agreeing to greater partnership between NDA and NDC, particularly in the areas of a joint Information Technology platform that would aid the generation, processing and exchange of useful data, as well as collaboration in academic activities. This was brought to the fore when the Commandant of NDC, Rear Admiral SI Alade, led Principal Staff Officers of the NDC on a courtesy call on the Commandant NDA, Major General MT Ibrahim, at the NDA Headquarters Complex.

In a warm welcome to the visiting NDC officers, the Commandant NDA, stressed on the importance of the collaboration between both institutions, noting that it was vital to the development of the armed forces and the nation at large. He further praised the work being done at the National Defence College and stated that NDC provides feedback for the Nigerian Defence Academy to properly evaluate how well its products are performing years after they have graduated from the Academy. General Ibrahim who opined that the collaboration between both institutions will further broaden their individual and collective capacity to better achieve their set objectives and goals, also called for the formation of joint committee that will iron out the details of the partnership between both institutions.

Speaking at the occasion, Commandant NDC, Rear Admiral SI Alade, disclosed that NDA and NDC have come a long way in terms of cordial relationship and partnership, but that it was necessary to further strengthen those ties. He expressed excitement over the new collaboration, noting that NDA, being a very prestigious institution with a lot of resources, will only become more popular and continue to produce the best quality officers for the Nigerian Armed Forces and the nation as a whole. He also called for the setting up of a joint committee that will immediately look into the best ways to fully actualize the benefits of the partnership between both institutions.
