Infantry Commander Pays Courtesy Call On Commandant NDA

The Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General MT Ibrahim, has said that the NDA is on a march to moulding officer cadets into officers that the Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army will be proud of. The Commandant stated this when the Commander of the Infantry Corp of the Nigerian Army, Major General S Yusuf, paid him a courtesy visit.

While congratulating the Infantry Corps Commander on his new appointment and describing it as a square peg in a square hole, Major General MT Ibrahim disclosed to him that in NDA, the ante is being raised by increasing the endurance level and the military training the cadets receive. The Commandant, while asking that more instructors from the Infantry Corps be posted to the Academy to accommodate the growing cadets â€˜population, equally said complacency by cadets and instructors alike will not be condoned.

Earlier the commander of the Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army, Major General S Yusuf, had said that the NDA has a critical role to play in the production of infantry officers that are fearless in the face of war. The Infantry Corps Commander further stated that officers should be moulded into officers before they are moulded into academicians. The Infantry Corps Commander, however, appreciated the reception given him by the Commandant of NDA.
