Officer Cadets of 67 Regular course Nigeria Defence Academy have pledged their unflinching loyal to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This event took place on the occasion of the oath taking ceremony, which was held at the NDA parade ground, permanent site.


Oath taking in the Armed Forces is an important ceremony where officer cadets willing commit themselves to abide by the tenets of the military profession and bear true and faithful allegiance to the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.


The Cadet Brigade Commander, Brigadier General BA Isandu who was the guest of honor at the occasion advised the officer cadets to remain subordinate to both military and civil authorities, adding that from this moment, their conducts and behaviors would be regulated by the Armed Forces Act CAP 2004 A20 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2004 for the rest of their professional life in the Armed Forces.



Gen BA Isandu informed the cadets that this ceremony formally marks the full commencement of their five years journey in NDA as gentlemen officer cadets with the ultimate goal of obtaining a Presidential commission in the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He urged them to be brave, courageous and devote themselves whole-hearted to their studies and field exercise as they progress steadily in the Academy. The CBC finally admonished them to beware of friends who would want to waste their valuable time and other activities that could jeopardize their continual stay in the Academy.
