Summary:
Dr Muhammad DahiruFaruruwa was born in Faruruwa village of Takai Local Government Area, Kano State. He attended Faruruwa Primary School and Government Secondary School Bichi (all in Kano Sate). He was admitted into Bayero University Kano (1982) where he was awarded Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (1987). He was also awarded M.Sc degree in Analytical Chemistry and PhD in Applied Chemistry by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and UsmanuDanfodiyo University Sokoto respectively.
DrFaruruwajoined the services of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna in 1995 as Assistant Lecturer. He rose through the rank and became Associate Professor (Reader) of Chemistry in 2014.
He supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students and at both Masters and PhD levels.  He published many articles in local, national and international peer reviewed journals. For administrative responsibilities, DrFaruruwa has held the positions of Focal officer NDA SERVICOM unit, Acting Coordinator Center for Energy and Environment of NDA (CEENDA), Secretary Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) Kaduna Chapter and is currently the HOD department of Chemistry NDA Kaduna.

Research Interest
His research work is mainly focused on the area of soil environment (fertility, contamination and Remendiation) and food materials (nutritional quality and contamination). He published a number of works in the area and is currently carrying out research in that regard.
