
He obtained a BA in Linguistics/French in 1990 with a first class honours, Masters degree in General Linguistics in 1995 and a Doctorate degree also in General Linguistics in 2004. In addition he has a Diploma in Journalism and Writing (London) 1984 and Baccalaureate (Adv./Level) Sarh in 1986.
Dr Mohammed Usman is presently an Associate Professor. He hails from Borno State. His first appointment in NDA was in 1998 and confirmed in the year 2000. His special areas of research include Language and Linguistics. Dr Usman has over twenty Publications including Books, Chapters in Books and journal articles. He is a member of the University French Teacher’s Association of Nigeria (UFTAN).
