Programme Management


The Cadets’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme CIWES is carried out in the last year of Cadets’ training through posting to military engineering bases in addition to the military training specific to their respective services. The Logistics Department of the Defence Academy provides excellent training facilities for project planning, design, assessment, evaluation and management for the Army, Onne and Apapa Naval Bases for Navy and the Technical Training Group TTG etc for the Air force. Proposals are on to get the Department involved in the reorganisation of the engineering aspects of the training and promote very effective supervision. Industrial Visits are organised to various industries across the country.


 DCE Cadets training programme recognises the Armed Forces as the sole sector that absorbs the Academy products hence military topics are injected into their syllabus in such courses as EIA military environment, water supply, bridges, transportation, structures, etc.
